DreamWorks is an American animation studio based in California. They create animation features in films and television programs which has resulted in them releasing 30 feature films. As of Novem,ber 2014, their features have made $12 billion worldwide.

Films produced by DreamWorks  were formally distributed world-wide by the live-action DreamWorks studio, then by Paramount Pictures, a subsidiary of Viacom, who acquired the live-action DreamWorks studio in February 2006, spinning it off again in 2008. In 2013, 20th century Fox, a subsidiary of 21st century Fox took over distribution of DreamWorks Animation films for a five year contract deal and so it will last until 2018.
